Artolution Monitoring and Evaluation Structure

Project evaluation

Artolution has developed an ongoing process of evaluating the social, cultural and practical impacts of its projects in partnership with the Population Council and in cooperation with Teachers College, Columbia University. We believe engagement with this process is essential for ongoing collaborations with our partners and the local facilitators for the continued growth of our methodology for the future. During a local planning session prior to beginning each project, specific local priorities are identified, which inform the questions asked. In order to assess the success of a project, we provide questionnaires  to participants, facilitators and members of the local community at the beginning, throughout the project and upon completion. We continue to follow up longitudinally through digital communication. These questionnaires are accompanied by video documentation, interviews, surveys and written testimonials with permission. Moving forward our goal is to provide opportunities for children, adolescents, families and communities to address their local issues, problems, dreams, and experiences through the arts, as well as through writing, testimonials and interviews. We are continuing to evolve our strategy and expand the understanding of the strengths and challenges of the complex and evolving field of international community-based public arts.
